I'm Jason. I do building work in and around Folkestone.

Jason completed an extensive renovation of our Victorian terrace in Folkestone, including knocking down and building a wall, pulling up all of the old carpets, replacing wallpaper, repairing dodgy plaster-work, filling in artex ceilings, and repainting the entire house. It was a mammoth job that he did much faster than we thought possible. He was always on time, worked hard, and was super tidy. He also has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Wimbledon finalists dating back to 1980. Who knew? I would thoroughly recommend him (in fact, I have about 20 times already).

We recently moved into a new house and wanted to get it decorated. A friend recommended Jason and he was excellent. He did the entire house top to bottom over the course of a number of weeks and the results are fantastic. He was polite, on time, cleared up after himself and did a great job. Couldn't recommend him more.

I have used Jason for a few garden projects. He is such a hard worker and he does a fantastic job. His fencing skills are brilliant. He is reliable, tidy and very reasonable. He takes the stress out of any DIY job and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

We were delighted with the work Jason carried out for us. From the start he came promptly and gave us a really reasonable quote, then was flexible to enable the work to start when he had a window. He worked so hard and did an excellent job within the time frames agreed, often going above and beyond. Most importantly he was a real delight to have around — friendly, well mannered and good company. We recommend him wholeheartedly!

When our back gate became unserviceable and irreparable, we engaged Jason Dukes to supply and fit a new one in June 2026. He used his carpentry skills to fit the frame and construct the gate in one morning with a very satisfactory result displaying good craftmanship, as seen in the accompanying two photographs. It was good value for a reasonable price. The side door to our garage needed replacing and we engaged Jason to supply and fit a new one in August 2026. The new door is a standard fire door and Jason constructed and fitted the door frame with new handles, hung the door and finished the door and frame with one coat of primer. It was good value for a reasonable price. We would highly recommend Jason for any carpentry work.

We've been absolutely delighted with the work Jason has done in our home and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. Jason has helped us with a range of decorating and carpentry projects, from painting and finishing rooms to smaller details such as tiling, but the real standout has been the beautiful bespoke bookcase he built for us completely from scratch. I initially showed Jason a ChatGPT render I had created to illustrate what I had in mind for the space. He immediately understood the vision, but rather than simply replicating it, he used his own experience and craftsmanship to create something even better in reality. The finished bookcase looks as though it has always belonged in the room. It has transformed what was previously a fairly ordinary wall into one of our favourite features of the house, while giving us a huge amount of practical storage for our books. Jason is incredibly skilled, thoughtful and meticulous in his work. He has a great eye for detail and is also very good at finding practical solutions and making suggestions that improve on the original idea. Everything has been finished to a really high standard, and he takes genuine pride in getting things right. He is also a pleasure to have around the house, friendly, reliable, trustworthy and easy to communicate with. We've felt completely comfortable leaving him to get on with things and have always been impressed with the results. We're so pleased with everything Jason has done for us and will definitely be asking him back for future projects. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a talented decorator and carpenter who can take an idea and turn it into something genuinely special.

I recently had Jason put up some wooden fencing and a gate for me. He is very reliable, professional and did an excellent job. I was very happy with the job and will certainly use him again.
